Ta Sin Mim.
These are the verses of the clear Book.
Perhaps you will destroy yourself because they will not believe.
If We willed, We could send down upon them a sign from the sky, and their necks would remain bowed before it in submission.
No new reminder comes to them from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.
They have denied, so the news of what they used to mock will come to them.
Have they not looked at the earth, how much We have caused to grow in it of every noble kind?
In that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
When your Lord called Moses, "Go to the wrongdoing people.
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not be mindful of God?"
He said, "My Lord, I fear they will deny me.
My chest tightens and my tongue does not flow freely, so send for Aaron.
They hold a charge against me, and I fear they will kill me."
He said, "No. Go, both of you, with Our signs. We are with you, listening.
Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are messengers of the Lord of all worlds.
Send the Children of Israel with us.'"
Pharaoh said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you stayed among us for years of your life?
Then you did that deed you did, and you are among the ungrateful."
Moses said, "I did it then when I was astray.
So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers.
Is this the favor you remind me of, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"
Pharaoh said, "What is the Lord of the worlds?"
He said, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them, if you would be certain."
Pharaoh said to those around him, "Do you hear this?"
He said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers."
Pharaoh said, "This messenger sent to you is clearly insane."
He said, "The Lord of the east and the west and everything between them, if you would use reason."
Pharaoh said, "If you take any god other than me, I will throw you among the prisoners."
He said, "Even if I brought you something clear?"
Pharaoh said, "Then bring it, if you are truthful."
So he threw down his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, plain for all to see.
He drew out his hand, and it was white for all who looked.
Pharaoh said to the chiefs around him, "This is a skilled sorcerer."
"He wants to drive you out of your land with his sorcery. So what do you advise?"
They said, "Delay him and his brother, and send gatherers to the cities."
"They will bring you every skilled sorcerer."
So the sorcerers were assembled at the appointed time on a set day.
The people were asked, "Will you gather together?"
"Perhaps we will follow the sorcerers if they are the victors."
When the sorcerers arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Will there be a reward for us if we are the victors?"
He said, "Yes, and you will be among those brought near to me."
Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."
So they threw their ropes and staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, we will surely be the victors."
Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it swallowed up their fabrications.
The sorcerers fell down in prostration.
They said, "We believe in the Lord of the worlds."
"The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
Pharaoh said, "You believed in him before I gave you permission? He must be your master who taught you sorcery. Soon you will know. I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you all."
They said, "No harm. We are returning to our Lord."
"We hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, since we are the first of the believers."
We revealed to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants, for you will be pursued."
Pharaoh sent recruiters into the cities.
"These are just a small band.
They have enraged us.
But we are a vigilant multitude."
So We drove them out of gardens and springs.
Treasures and noble dwellings.
So it was, and We made the Children of Israel inherit them.
They pursued them at sunrise.
When the two groups came within sight of each other, the companions of Moses said, "We are overtaken!"
He said, "No! My Lord is with me. He will guide me."
We revealed to Moses, "Strike the sea with your staff." It split apart, and each portion was like a towering mountain.
We brought the others close behind.
We saved Moses and all who were with him.
Then We drowned the others.
In this is a sign, yet most of them were not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
Recite to them the story of Abraham.
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
They said, "We worship idols and remain devoted to them."
He said, "Do they hear you when you call?"
Or benefit you, or harm you?
They said, "No, but we found our fathers doing the same."
He said, "Have you considered what you have been worshiping?"
You and your ancient forefathers?
They are all enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds.
He who created me, and He guides me.
He who feeds me and gives me drink.
When I fall ill, He heals me.
He who will cause me to die, then bring me back to life.
He who I hope will forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment.
My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous.
Grant me a lasting reputation among later generations.
Make me among the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.
Forgive my father, for he was among the misguided.
Do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected.
The Day when neither wealth nor children will help.
Only those who come to God with a sound heart.
Paradise will be brought near for the mindful.
Hell will be displayed for the deviant.
They will be asked, "Where are those you used to worship?"
Besides God? Can they help you or help themselves?
They will be hurled into it, they and the deviant.
And the soldiers of Iblis, all together.
They will say, while quarreling in it:
"By God, we were clearly astray."
When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.
None led us astray but the criminals.
Now we have no intercessors.
Nor any close friend.
If only we could have another chance, so we could be among the believers.
In this is a sign, yet most of them were not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
The people of Noah rejected the messengers.
Their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not be mindful of God?"
I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
I ask no payment from you for this. My reward is only from the Lord of all worlds.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
They said, "Should we believe in you when only the lowest people follow you?"
He said, "What knowledge do I have of what they used to do?"
Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive.
I will not drive away the believers.
I am only a clear warner.
They said, "If you do not stop, Noah, you will surely be stoned."
He said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me."
So judge decisively between me and them, and save me and the believers with me.
We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.
Then We drowned the rest.
In this is a sign, yet most of them were not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
Aad rejected the messengers.
Their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not be mindful of God?"
I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
I ask no payment from you for this. My reward is only from the Lord of all worlds.
Do you build a monument on every hilltop for amusement?
Do you construct fortresses as if you will live forever?
When you strike, you strike like tyrants.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
Be mindful of the One who provided you with what you know.
He provided you with livestock and sons.
And gardens and springs.
I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.
They said, "It is the same to us whether you preach or do not preach."
This is nothing but the way of the ancients.
We will not be punished.
So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. In this is a sign, yet most of them were not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
Thamud rejected the messengers.
Their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not be mindful of God?"
I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
I ask no payment from you for this. My reward comes only from the Lord of all worlds.
Do you think you will be left secure in all that you have here?
In gardens and springs.
And crops and palm trees with softened fruit.
You carve homes from the mountains with great skill.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
Do not obey the command of the excessive.
Those who spread corruption in the land and never reform.
They said, "You are just one of the bewitched."
You are nothing but a human like us. So bring us a sign if you are truthful.
He said, "Here is a she-camel. She has her day to drink, and you have your appointed day to drink."
Do not touch her with harm, or the punishment of a tremendous day will seize you.
But they hamstrung her, and by morning they were filled with regret.
So the punishment seized them. In that is a sign, yet most of them were not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
The people of Lot rejected the messengers.
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not be mindful of God?"
I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
I ask no payment from you for this. My reward comes only from the Lord of all worlds.
Do you approach males from among all creatures?
You abandon what your Lord created for you in your wives. No, you are a transgressing people.
They said, "If you do not stop, Lot, you will be among those expelled."
He said, "I am utterly disgusted by your actions."
My Lord, save me and my family from what they do.
So We saved him and his family, all of them.
Except an old woman among those who stayed behind.
Then We destroyed the others.
We rained upon them a rain, and dreadful was the rain upon those who had been warned.
In that is a sign, yet most of them were not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
The people of the Thicket rejected the messengers.
When Shuayb said to them, "Will you not be mindful of God?"
I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
So be mindful of God and obey me.
I ask no payment from you for this. My reward comes only from the Lord of all worlds.
Give full measure and do not be among those who cause loss.
Weigh with an honest scale.
Do not cheat people of their goods, and do not spread corruption in the land.
Be mindful of the One who created you and the earlier generations.
They said, "You are just one of the bewitched."
You are nothing but a human like us, and we think you are a liar.
So bring down upon us fragments from the sky if you are truthful.
He said, "My Lord knows best what you do."
They rejected him, so the punishment of the Day of Shadow seized them. It was the punishment of a tremendous day.
In that is a sign, yet most of them were not believers.
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
This is a revelation from the Lord of all worlds.
The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down.
Upon your heart, so you may be among the warners.
In a clear Arabic tongue.
It is mentioned in the scriptures of earlier peoples.
Is it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel recognize it?
Had We sent it down upon a non-Arab.
And he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it.
This is how We have driven it into the hearts of the criminals.
They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.
It will come upon them suddenly while they are unaware.
Then they will say, "Will we be given more time?"
Do they seek to hasten Our punishment?
Consider: if We let them enjoy themselves for years.
Then what they were promised comes to them.
What good would their years of enjoyment do them?
We never destroyed a town without it having warners.
As a reminder, and We have never been unjust.
The devils did not bring this down.
It would not be fitting for them, nor could they.
They are barred from hearing it.
So do not call upon another god besides God, or you will be among those punished.
Warn your closest relatives.
Lower your wing to those believers who follow you.
If they disobey you, say, "I am free of what you do."
Put your trust in the Almighty, the Merciful.
Who sees you when you stand.
And your movements among those who prostrate.
He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend?
They descend upon every sinful liar.
They pass on what they hear, but most of them are liars.
The poets are followed by those who go astray.
Do you not see how they wander in every valley?
And how they say what they do not do?
Except those who believe, do good deeds, remember God often, and defend themselves after being wronged. Those who do wrong will soon know what fate awaits them.
