Ta Sin. These are the verses of the Quran, a Book that makes things clear.
Guidance and good news for the believers.
Those who establish prayer, give charity, and have firm faith in the Hereafter.
Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem appealing to them, so they wander blindly.
These are the ones who will have the worst punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.
You are receiving the Quran from One who is Wise, All-Knowing.
When Moses said to his family, "I have spotted a fire. I will bring you news from it, or bring you a burning torch so you may warm yourselves."
When he came to it, a voice called out, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. Glory be to God, Lord of all worlds."
"O Moses, it is I, God, the Almighty, the Wise."
"Throw down your staff." When he saw it writhing like a snake, he turned and fled without looking back. "O Moses, do not be afraid. The messengers have nothing to fear in My presence."
"Except whoever does wrong and then replaces evil with good, I am Forgiving, Merciful."
"Put your hand inside your cloak and it will come out white, without any disease. Among nine signs for Pharaoh and his people. They have been a rebellious people."
When Our signs came to them, plain to see, they said, "This is obvious magic."
They rejected them, though their souls were convinced of their truth, out of wrongdoing and arrogance. See how the corrupters ended up.
We gave David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise be to God, who has favored us over many of His believing servants."
Solomon inherited David and said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given everything. This is clearly a great blessing."
Solomon's forces of jinn, humans, and birds were assembled before him, arranged in ranks.
When they came to the Valley of the Ants, an ant said, "O ants, go into your homes so Solomon and his forces do not crush you without realizing it."
He smiled, laughing at her words, and said, "My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for the blessings You have given me and my parents, and to do good works that please You. Admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants."
He inspected the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe? Or is he among the absent?"
"I will surely punish him severely, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear explanation."
But the hoopoe stayed not long and said, "I have grasped what you have not grasped, and I have come to you from Sheba with certain news."
"I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given everything, and she has a magnificent throne."
"I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of God. Satan has made their deeds appealing to them and averted them from the path, so they are not guided."
Should they not prostrate to God, who brings forth what is hidden in the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you reveal?
God, there is no god but He, Lord of the Mighty Throne.
He said, "We will see whether you have spoken the truth or are among the liars."
Go with this letter of mine and deliver it to them, then withdraw from them and see what they respond.
She said, "O chiefs, a noble letter has been delivered to me."
It is from Solomon, and it reads: In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Ever Merciful.
Do not be arrogant toward me, and come to me in submission.
She said, "O chiefs, advise me in this matter of mine. I have never decided any affair without your witness."
They said, "We possess strength and fierce might, but the decision is yours, so consider what you will command."
She said, "When kings enter a town, they ruin it and make its noble people humiliated. That is what they do."
I will send them a gift and see what the envoys bring back.
When he came to Solomon, he said, "Do you offer me wealth? What God has given me is better than what He has given you. No, it is you who rejoice in your gift."
Return to them, for we will surely come to them with forces they cannot resist, and we will surely expel them from it humiliated and disgraced.
He said, "O chiefs, which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"
A powerful one among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your seat. I am strong enough for it and trustworthy."
One who had knowledge of the Scripture said, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." When he saw it placed before him, he said, "This is from the grace of my Lord, to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful. Whoever is grateful, his gratitude benefits only himself. Whoever is ungrateful, my Lord is Self-Sufficient, Generous."
He said, "Disguise her throne for her, and we will see whether she is guided or is among those who are not guided."
When she arrived, she was asked, "Is your throne like this?" She said, "It looks like it." We were given knowledge before her, and we had submitted.
What she used to worship besides God had kept her away. She was from a disbelieving people.
She was told, "Enter the palace." When she saw it, she thought it was a pool of water and uncovered her legs. He said, "It is a palace paved with crystal." She said, "My Lord, I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to God, Lord of all worlds."
We sent to Thamud their brother Salih: "Worship God." But they split into two factions, quarreling with each other.
He said, "My people, why do you rush toward evil before good? Why not seek God's forgiveness, so that you may receive mercy?"
They said, "We see you and your followers as a bad omen." He said, "Your omen is with God. You are a people being tested."
There were nine men in the city who spread corruption in the land and never made things right.
They said, "Swear to one another by God: we will attack him and his family by night, then tell his guardian, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and we are telling the truth.'"
They plotted a plot, and We plotted a plot, while they were unaware.
See how their scheming ended: We destroyed them and their people, all of them.
There are their houses, lying empty because of their wrongdoing. In that is a sign for people who know.
We saved those who believed and were mindful of God.
Lot said to his people, "Do you commit this obscenity with your eyes wide open?"
Do you really approach men with lust instead of women? You are a people acting in ignorance.
His people's only response was to say, "Drive Lot's family out of your town. They are people who keep themselves pure."
So We saved him and his family, except his wife. We destined her to be among those who stayed behind.
We rained down upon them a rain. Dreadful was the rain upon those who had been warned.
Say, "Praise be to God, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen." Is God better, or what they associate with Him?
Or is it He who created the heavens and the earth and sent down rain from the sky for you? With it We grew gardens of stunning beauty whose trees you could never have grown. Is there a god alongside God? No, they are a people who equate others with Him.
Or is it He who made the earth a stable ground and placed rivers through it and set firm mountains upon it and placed a barrier between the two seas? Is there a god alongside God? No, most of them do not know.
Or is it He who answers the desperate when they call upon Him and removes harm and makes you successors on the earth? Is there a god alongside God? How little you reflect.
Or is it He who guides you through the darkness of land and sea and sends the winds as heralds before His mercy? Is there a god alongside God? Exalted is God above what they associate with Him.
Or is it He who originates creation and then repeats it, and who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Is there a god alongside God? Say, "Bring your proof, if you are truthful."
Say, "No one in the heavens or the earth knows the unseen except God." They have no sense of when they will be resurrected.
Their knowledge of the Hereafter has reached its limit. They are in doubt about it. They are blind to it.
Those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust, and our fathers too, will we really be brought out?"
"We and our fathers were promised this before. This is nothing but tales of the ancients."
Say, "Travel through the earth and see what became of the criminals."
Do not grieve over them, and do not be distressed by their scheming.
They say, "When will this promise come, if you are truthful?"
Say, "Perhaps some of what you seek to hasten is already close behind you."
Your Lord is full of grace toward people, but most of them are not grateful.
Your Lord knows what their hearts conceal and what they reveal.
There is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth that is not in a clear record.
This Quran relates to the Children of Israel most of what they differ over.
It is guidance and mercy for the believers.
Your Lord will judge between them by His decree. He is the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
So put your trust in God. You stand upon the clear truth.
You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn away retreating.
You cannot guide the blind out of their error. You can only make hear those who believe in Our signs, for they have submitted.
When the decree falls upon them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth that will speak to them: that people had no certainty in Our revelations.
On the Day We gather from every nation a crowd of those who denied Our revelations, they will be driven in ranks.
Until, when they arrive, He will say, "Did you deny My revelations without grasping them in knowledge? Or what exactly were you doing?"
The decree will fall upon them for their wrongdoing, and they will not speak.
Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest in and the day giving sight? In that are signs for people who believe.
On the Day the horn is blown, everyone in the heavens and everyone on earth will be terrified, except whom God wills. All will come to Him humbled.
You see the mountains and think them solid, but they drift like clouds. This is the craftsmanship of God, who perfected everything. He is fully aware of what you do.
Whoever comes with a good deed will have better than it, and they will be safe from the terror of that Day.
Whoever comes with an evil deed, their faces will be thrust into the Fire. Are you being repaid for anything except what you used to do?
I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city, who made it sacred, and to Him belongs everything. I have been commanded to be among those who submit.
And to recite the Quran. Whoever is guided is guided only for their own benefit. And whoever strays, say, "I am only one of the warners."
Say, "Praise be to God. He will show you His signs and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not unaware of what you do."
