famā aghnā ʿanhum mā kānū yaksibūn
And not availed them what they used (to) earn.

and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired
And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not
And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)
and all they achieved was of no help to them.
and all [the power] that they had acquired was of no use to them
All that they had acquired was of no avail to them
And what they earned did not avail them
And availed them not what they had been earning.
and what they had been earning did not help them out.
and all their earnings (building homes by craving the rock) did not avail.
Then of no avail to them was what they were earning.
and that which they used to earn availed them not
Nothing they had earned could help them.

And did not provide benefit to them what they used to earn
We have not created the Heavens and the Earth, and all that lies between them but to manifest the Truth
Then in no way did whatever they used to earn avail them
Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them
So, whatever they earned did not come to their help
And of no avail to them was all the power that they had acquired
None of what they used to gain and gather could offer them any security or protection
And what they had (built with so much care and) done was of no use to them
So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn
What benefit did what they earn make for them?
What they had gained was of no use to them
Then availed them not that which they had been earning
And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing
so all that they earned was of no use to them.
All (the wealth and power) that they acquired was of no avail to them
and what they used to earn did not avail them
And that which they counted as gain availed them naught
Then what they were doing was of no use to them.
And of no avail to them was all that they did
and their wealth didn’t benefit them in any way.
and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail
And what they earned availed them not

What they hoarded did not help them.
and that which they had earned did not help them
And what they earned availed them not
So what they were gaining/acquiring did not enrich/suffice them from them (was of no benefit to them)
Whatever they had gained was of no help to them

And all they had earned availed them not

So (the riches) they used to earn could not repel (Allah’s punishment) from them
So that all that they had accomplished was of no avail to them
And all that which they used to earn availed them not
