Alif Lam Mim.
God, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.
He sent down to you the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel.
Before this, as guidance for people, and He sent down the Criterion. Those who reject God's revelations will face a severe punishment. God is Mighty, capable of retribution.
Nothing on earth or in heaven is hidden from God.
He is the One who shapes you in the wombs however He wills. There is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise.
He is the One who sent down to you the Book. In it are verses that are clear and precise, forming the foundation of the Book, while others are open to interpretation. Those with deviance in their hearts pursue what is open to interpretation, seeking discord and seeking its hidden meaning. But no one knows its hidden meaning except God. Those grounded in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All of it is from our Lord." Only people of understanding take heed.
Our Lord, do not let our hearts swerve after You have guided us. Grant us mercy from Yourself. You are the Ever-Giving.
Our Lord, You will gather all people on a Day about which there is no doubt. God never breaks His promise.
Those who disbelieve, their wealth and their children will never protect them from God at all. They are the fuel of the Fire.
Like the way of Pharaoh's people and those before them: they denied Our signs, so God seized them for their sins. God is severe in punishment.
Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be defeated and gathered into Hell, and what a wretched resting place."
There was a sign for you in the two armies that met: one fighting in the cause of God and another disbelieving. They saw them as twice their number with their own eyes. God supports with His victory whom He wills. In that is a lesson for those with insight.
Made beautiful for people is the love of desires: women, children, heaped-up treasures of gold and silver, fine horses, livestock, and farmland. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but with God is the best return.
Say, "Shall I tell you of something better than that? For those who are mindful of God, with their Lord are gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will dwell forever, with purified spouses and pleasure from God." God sees His servants.
Those who say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
The patient, the truthful, the devout, the charitable, and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.
God bears witness that there is no god but He, as do the angels and those of knowledge, upholding justice. There is no god but He, the Almighty, the Wise.
The religion with God is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge came to them, out of rivalry among themselves. Whoever denies the signs of God, God is swift in reckoning.
If they argue with you, say, "I have surrendered my face to God, and so have those who follow me." Say to those who were given the Scripture and to the unlettered, "Have you surrendered?" If they surrender, they are guided. But if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the message. God sees His servants.
Those who reject God's signs, kill the prophets without right, and kill those among the people who command justice: give them news of a painful punishment.
These are the ones whose deeds have come to nothing in this world and the next, and they will have no helpers.
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They are called to the Book of God to judge between them, then a group of them turns away in rejection.
That is because they said, "The Fire will only touch us for a limited number of days." What they used to fabricate has deceived them in their religion.
So how will it be when We gather them for a Day about which there is no doubt, and every soul is paid in full what it has acquired, and they will not be wronged?
Say, "O God, Master of all sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You strip sovereignty from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humiliate whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. You have power over all things."
You merge the night into the day and You merge the day into the night. You bring the living from the dead and You bring the dead from the living. You provide for whom You will without measure.
Believers must not take disbelievers as allies instead of believers. Whoever does that has nothing to do with God, unless you are protecting yourselves from them as a precaution. God warns you of Himself, and to God is the final return.
Say, "Whether you conceal what is in your hearts or reveal it, God knows it. He knows what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. God has power over all things."
On the Day when every soul finds all the good it has done brought forward, and all the evil it has done, it will wish there were a vast distance between itself and that evil. God warns you of Himself, and God is compassionate toward His servants.
Say, "If you love God, then follow me, and God will love you and forgive your sins. God is Forgiving, Merciful."
Say, "Obey God and the Messenger." But if they turn away, then God does not love the disbelievers.
God chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of Imran above all people.
Descendants, one from another. God is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
When the wife of Imran said, "My Lord, I have dedicated what is in my womb entirely to You, so accept it from me. You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."
When she gave birth, she said, "My Lord, I have given birth to a girl"—and God knew best what she had delivered, and the male is not like the female—"and I have named her Mary, and I seek Your protection for her and her descendants from Satan, the outcast."
Her Lord accepted her with gracious acceptance and raised her beautifully, and placed her in the care of Zechariah. Whenever Zechariah entered the sanctuary to see her, he found provisions with her. He said, "Mary, where did you get this?" She said, "It is from God. God provides for whoever He wills without limit."
There Zechariah called upon his Lord. He said, "My Lord, grant me from Yourself righteous offspring. You hear all prayers."
The angels called out to him while he stood praying in the sanctuary: "God gives you good news of John, confirming a Word from God, a leader, chaste, and a prophet among the righteous."
He said, "My Lord, how can I have a son when old age has overtaken me and my wife is barren?" He said, "So it will be. God does whatever He wills."
He said, "My Lord, give me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to people for three days except through gestures. Remember your Lord often and glorify Him in the evening and the morning."
The angels said, "O Mary, God has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above all the women of the world."
"O Mary, devote yourself to your Lord, prostrate and bow with those who bow."
This is from the news of the unseen that We reveal to you. You were not with them when they cast their pens to decide which of them would take charge of Mary, nor were you with them when they disputed.
The angels said, "O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and the Hereafter, and among those brought near."
"He will speak to people in the cradle and in maturity, and he will be among the righteous."
She said, "My Lord, how can I have a child when no man has touched me?" He said, "So it is. God creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is."
"He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel."
"And a messenger to the Children of Israel: 'I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I will create for you from clay the shape of a bird, then breathe into it, and it will become a bird by God's permission. I will heal the blind and the leper, and bring the dead to life by God's permission. I will tell you what you eat and what you store in your houses. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.'"
"I come confirming the Torah that came before me, and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so be mindful of God and obey me."
"God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path."
When Jesus sensed disbelief from them, he said, "Who will be my helpers for God's cause?" The disciples said, "We are God's helpers. We believe in God, and bear witness that we are submitters."
"Our Lord, we believe in what You have revealed and we follow the messenger, so record us among the witnesses."
They plotted, and God plotted, and God is the best of plotters.
God said, "O Jesus, I will take you and raise you to Me, and purify you from those who disbelieve. I will place those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you in what you used to dispute."
As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.
As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, He will pay them their rewards in full. God does not love the wrongdoers.
This is what We recite to you of the verses and the wise reminder.
The likeness of Jesus before God is like that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, "Be," and he was.
The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.
Whoever argues with you about him after the knowledge that has come to you, say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then let us pray earnestly and invoke the curse of God upon the liars."
This is the true account. There is no god but God, and God is the Almighty, the Wise.
If they turn away, then God knows well the corrupters.
Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word common between us and you: that we worship none but God, that we associate nothing with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides God." If they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are those who submit."
O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Do you not reason?
Here you are, arguing about things you have some knowledge of, so why do you argue about things you have no knowledge of? God knows, and you do not know.
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a monotheist, a submitter, and he was not among those who associate partners with God.
The people closest to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet, and those who believe. God is the Protector of the believers.
A faction of the People of the Scripture wish they could lead you astray, but they only lead themselves astray without realizing it.
O People of the Scripture, why do you reject the signs of God while you yourselves bear witness?
O People of the Scripture, why do you mix truth with falsehood and conceal the truth when you know?
A faction of the People of the Scripture said, "Believe in what was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day, then reject it at its end, so that they might turn back."
"Trust no one except those who follow your religion." Say, "True guidance is the guidance of God." Do they fear that someone might be given the like of what you were given, or that they might argue against you before your Lord? Say, "All favor is in the Hand of God. He gives it to whom He wills. God is Vast, All-Knowing."
He singles out for His mercy whom He wills. God is the Possessor of immense favor.
Among the People of the Scripture are those who, if you entrust them with a heap of gold, will return it to you. Yet among them are those who, if you entrust them with a single coin, will not return it unless you keep standing over them. That is because they say, "We have no obligation toward the unlettered." They tell lies about God while they know it.
On the contrary, whoever fulfills their covenant and is mindful of God, then God loves those who are mindful of Him.
Those who sell God's covenant and their own oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter. God will not speak to them, nor look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor purify them. For them is a painful punishment.
Among them is a group who twist their tongues with the Scripture so you think it is from the Scripture, but it is not from the Scripture. They say, "It is from God," but it is not from God. They tell lies about God while they know it.
It is not for any human being that God would give him the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood, and then he would say to people, "Be servants to me instead of God." Rather, he would say, "Be devoted to the Lord through what you have been teaching of the Scripture and what you have been studying."
Nor would he command you to take the angels and prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelief after you have submitted?
God took a covenant from the prophets: "Whatever I give you of Scripture and wisdom, then a messenger comes to you confirming what you have, you must believe in him and support him." He said, "Do you affirm this and accept My binding pledge?" They said, "We affirm it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."
Whoever turns away after that, those are the rebellious.
Do they seek something other than the religion of God, when everyone in the heavens and the earth has submitted to Him, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be returned?
Say, "We believe in God and what was sent down to us, and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes, and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit."
Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from them, and in the Hereafter they will be among the losers.
How can God guide a people who rejected faith after believing, who witnessed that the Messenger is true, and who received clear proofs? God does not guide wrongdoing people.
Their repayment is the curse of God, the angels, and all of humanity upon them.
They will remain in it forever. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be given respite.
Except those who repent after that and make amends, for God is Forgiving, Merciful.
Those who reject faith after believing, then increase in rejection, their repentance will never be accepted. They are the ones who are astray.
Those who reject faith and die as rejecters, not one of them could ransom themselves with an earth full of gold, even if they offered it. For them is a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.
You will never attain righteousness until you spend from what you love. Whatever you spend, God knows it well.
All food was lawful for the Children of Israel except what Israel forbade himself before the Torah was sent down. Say, "Bring the Torah and read it, if you are truthful."
Whoever fabricates lies about God after that, they are the wrongdoers.
Say, "God has spoken the truth. So follow the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not among those who associate partners with God."
The first House established for humanity is the one at Bakkah, blessed and a guidance for all peoples.
In it are clear signs: the standing place of Abraham. Whoever enters it is safe. Pilgrimage to the House is a duty owed to God by all who can find a way there. As for those who reject, God has no need of anyone in all the worlds.
Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you reject God's verses when God is witness to all you do?"
Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you turn believers away from God's path, seeking to make it crooked, when you yourselves are witnesses? God is not unaware of what you do."
O you who believe, if you obey a faction of those given the Scripture, they will turn you back into disbelievers after you have believed.
How can you disbelieve when God's verses are recited to you and His Messenger is among you? Whoever holds fast to God has been guided to a straight path.
O you who believe, be mindful of God as He truly deserves, and do not die except in submission to Him.
Hold fast to the rope of God, all together, and do not divide. Remember God's blessing upon you: you were enemies, and He united your hearts, so by His grace you became brothers. You were on the edge of a pit of Fire, and He rescued you from it. This is how God makes His signs clear to you, so that you may be guided.
Let there be a community among you that calls to good, commands what is right, and forbids what is wrong. Those are the successful.
Do not be like those who divided and differed after clear proofs came to them. For them is a tremendous punishment.
On the Day when some faces turn bright and some faces turn dark. As for those whose faces turn dark: "Did you reject faith after believing? Then taste the punishment for your rejection."
As for those whose faces turn bright, they will be in God's mercy, dwelling there forever.
These are God's verses. We recite them to you in truth. God desires no injustice for the worlds.
To God belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. To God all matters return.
You are the best nation ever raised for humanity: you command what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in God. If the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.
They will never harm you except with minor annoyance. If they fight you, they will turn their backs and flee, then they will not be helped.
Humiliation is stamped upon them wherever they are found, unless they hold to a rope from God and a rope from people. They have drawn upon themselves wrath from God, and wretchedness is stamped upon them. That is because they rejected the signs of God and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and transgressed.
They are not all the same. Among the People of the Scripture is an upright community who recite the verses of God through the hours of the night, prostrating.
They believe in God and the Last Day, command what is right, forbid what is wrong, and race toward good deeds. These are among the righteous.
Whatever good they do will never be denied them. God knows well those who are mindful of Him.
Those who disbelieve, their wealth and their children will never help them against God at all. These are the companions of the Fire, dwelling there forever.
What they spend in this worldly life is like a freezing wind that strikes the harvest of a people who wronged themselves and destroys it. God did not wrong them, but they wrong themselves.
O you who believe, do not take as close allies those outside your own, for they spare no effort to ruin you. They wish for your suffering. Hatred has already poured from their mouths, and what their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made the signs clear to you, if you would only reason.
Here you are, loving them while they do not love you, though you believe in all the Scripture. When they meet you, they say, "We believe," but when they are alone, they bite their fingertips at you in rage. Say, "Die in your rage." God knows well what lies within hearts.
If something good touches you, it grieves them, and if misfortune strikes you, they rejoice at it. But if you are patient and mindful of God, their scheming will not harm you at all. God fully encompasses what they do.
Remember when you left your family at dawn to position the believers at their battle stations. God is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
Two groups among you were about to lose heart, but God was their protector. Let the believers put their trust in God.
God gave you victory at Badr when you were weak, so be mindful of God that you may be grateful.
You were saying to the believers, "Is it not enough for you that your Lord reinforces you with three thousand angels sent down?"
Yes, if you remain patient and mindful of God, and they come at you in their fury, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels swooping in.
God made this only as good news for you and to put your hearts at ease. Victory comes only from God, the Almighty, the Wise.
This was to cut off a section of the disbelievers or crush them so they would retreat in defeat.
The decision is not yours. He may turn to them in mercy or punish them, for they are wrongdoers.
To God belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. God is Forgiving, Merciful.
O you who believe, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied. Be mindful of God so that you may prosper.
Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for the disbelievers.
Obey God and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy.
Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who are mindful of God.
Those who spend in times of ease and hardship, who restrain their anger and pardon people. God loves those who do good.
Those who, when they commit an obscenity or wrong themselves, remember God and seek forgiveness for their sins, and who forgives sins except God? They do not persist in what they did while they know.
Their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens with rivers flowing beneath them, where they will remain forever. What an excellent reward for those who act.
Patterns have passed before you, so travel through the earth and see what became of those who denied.
This is a clear statement for humanity, and guidance and instruction for those who are mindful of God.
Do not weaken and do not grieve, for you will have the upper hand if you are believers.
If a wound has touched you, a similar wound has touched the other people. We alternate these days among people so that God may distinguish those who believe and take witnesses from among you. God does not love the wrongdoers.
This is so God may purify those who believe and destroy the disbelievers.
Did you think you would enter Paradise without God knowing who among you struggled and who remained steadfast?
You used to wish for death before you met it. Now you have seen it with your own eyes.
Muhammad is only a messenger; messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you turn back on your heels? Whoever turns back on his heels will not harm God in the least. God will reward the grateful.
No soul can die except by God's permission, at a time already written. Whoever desires the reward of this world, We will give him from it, and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter, We will give him from it. We will reward the grateful.
How many prophets fought alongside many devout men, yet they never lost heart over what struck them in God's path, nor did they weaken, nor did they surrender. God loves the steadfast.
Their only words were, "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excess in our affairs, plant our feet firmly, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people."
So God gave them the reward of this world and the beautiful reward of the Hereafter. God loves those who do good.
O you who believe, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will become losers.
No, God is your Protector, and He is the best of helpers.
We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they associated with God that for which He sent down no authority. Their refuge is the Fire, and wretched is the dwelling of the wrongdoers.
God fulfilled His promise to you when you were cutting them down by His permission, until you faltered and disputed over the command and disobeyed after He showed you what you loved. Some of you desired this world, and some of you desired the Hereafter. Then He turned you away from them to test you, but He has pardoned you. God is full of grace toward the believers.
You were climbing up the hill, not looking back at anyone, while the Messenger was calling you from behind. So He repaid you with grief upon grief, so that you would not grieve over what escaped you or what struck you. God is fully aware of what you do.
Then after the grief, He sent down upon you security, a drowsiness overtaking a group of you, while another group cared only about themselves, thinking false thoughts about God, thoughts of ignorance. They said, "Do we have any say in this matter?" Say, "The matter belongs entirely to God." They hide within themselves what they do not reveal to you. They say, "If we had any say in this matter, we would not have been killed here." Say, "Even if you had stayed in your homes, those destined to be killed would have gone out to their death beds." This was so God could test what is in your chests and purify what is in your hearts. God knows well what lies within the chests.
Those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met, Satan made them slip because of some of what they had earned. But God has pardoned them. God is Forgiving, Forbearing.
O you who believe, do not be like those who disbelieved and said of their brothers who traveled the land or went to battle, "If they had stayed with us, they would not have died or been killed." God makes this a source of anguish in their hearts. God gives life and causes death, and God sees everything you do.
If you are killed in God's cause or die, forgiveness from God and mercy are far better than all they accumulate.
Whether you die or are killed, to God you will be gathered.
It was by mercy from God that you were gentle with them. Had you been harsh and hard-hearted, they would have scattered from around you. So pardon them, ask forgiveness for them, and consult them in the matter. Then when you have decided, put your trust in God. God loves those who trust in Him.
If God helps you, none can defeat you. But if He abandons you, who then can help you after Him? Let the believers put their trust in God.
It is not for a prophet to defraud. Whoever defrauds will bring what he defrauded on the Day of Resurrection. Then every soul will be paid in full for what it committed, and they will not be wronged.
Is one who pursues God's pleasure like one who incurs God's wrath, whose dwelling is Hell? What a miserable destination!
They are of varying ranks before God, and God sees everything they do.
God has blessed the believers by raising among them a messenger from themselves, reciting His verses to them, purifying them, and teaching them the Book and wisdom, though before they were clearly astray.
When disaster struck you after you had inflicted twice as much, you said, "How did this happen?" Say, "It is from yourselves." God has power over all things.
What struck you on the day the two armies met was by God's permission, so that He might distinguish the believers.
And so that He might distinguish the hypocrites. They were told, "Come, fight in God's cause or at least defend." They said, "If we knew there would be fighting, we would have followed you." That day they were closer to disbelief than to faith. They say with their mouths what is not in their hearts, and God knows best what they conceal.
Those who stayed behind and said of their brothers, "If they had obeyed us, they would not have been killed." Say, "Then ward off death from yourselves, if you are truthful."
Do not think of those killed in the cause of God as dead. They are alive with their Lord, provided for.
Rejoicing in what God has given them from His favor, and delighted for those who have not yet joined them from behind, that no fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve.
They rejoice in blessing from God and favor, and that God does not waste the reward of the believers.
Those who answered God and the Messenger after the wound had struck them: for those among them who did good and were mindful of God is a great reward.
Those to whom people said, "The people have gathered against you, so fear them," but it only increased them in faith, and they said, "God is enough for us, and He is the best protector."
So they returned with blessing from God and favor, no harm having touched them. They pursued the pleasure of God, and God is the possessor of great favor.
That is only Satan frightening you through his allies. So do not fear them, but fear Me, if you are believers.
Do not let those who rush into disbelief grieve you. They will never harm God in the least. God intends to give them no share in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment.
Those who have purchased disbelief in exchange for faith will never harm God in the least, and for them is a painful punishment.
Let not those who disbelieve think that the time We give them is good for them. We only give them time so they may increase in sin, and for them is a humiliating punishment.
God would not leave the believers in the state you are in until He separates the corrupt from the pure. God would not reveal to you the unseen, but God chooses from His messengers whom He wills. So believe in God and His messengers. If you believe and are mindful of God, then for you is a great reward.
Let not those who withhold what God has given them from His favor think it is good for them. Rather, it is bad for them. They will be collared by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. To God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth, and God is fully aware of what you do.
God has heard those who said, "God is poor and we are rich." We will record what they said and their killing of the prophets without right, and We will say, "Taste the punishment of the burning Fire."
That is for what your hands have sent ahead, and God is never unjust to His servants.
Those who said, "God has commanded us not to believe in any messenger until he brings us an offering consumed by fire." Say, "Messengers came to you before me with clear proofs and with what you demanded, so why did you kill them, if you are truthful?"
If they reject you, messengers before you were also rejected, though they came with clear proofs, scriptures, and the illuminating Book.
Every soul will taste death. You will only be paid your full reward on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever is pulled away from the Fire and admitted into Paradise has truly triumphed. The life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion.
You will surely be tested through your wealth and yourselves, and you will surely hear much abuse from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate partners with God. But if you remain patient and mindful of God, that is a matter of true resolve.
God took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture: "You must make it clear to people and not conceal it." But they cast it behind their backs and sold it for a small price. Miserable is what they purchase.
Do not think that those who rejoice in what they have done and love to be praised for what they have not done, do not think they are safe from punishment. For them is a painful punishment.
To God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and God has power over all things.
In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, are signs for people of understanding.
Those who remember God standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: "Our Lord, You did not create this in vain. Glory be to You! Protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
"Our Lord, whoever You cast into the Fire, You have utterly disgraced. The wrongdoers will have no helpers."
"Our Lord, we heard a caller calling to faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, wipe away our misdeeds, and let us die among the righteous."
"Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break Your promise."
Their Lord answered them: "I never waste the work of any worker among you, male or female. You are from one another. Those who emigrated, were driven from their homes, were harmed in My cause, fought and were killed, I will surely wipe away their misdeeds and admit them into gardens with rivers flowing beneath them, a reward from God. With God is the finest reward."
Do not be deceived by the movement of the disbelievers throughout the land.
A brief enjoyment, then their refuge is Hell. What a miserable resting place!
But those who were mindful of their Lord will have gardens with rivers flowing beneath them, dwelling there forever, a welcome from God. What is with God is better for the righteous.
Among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in God and what was sent down to you and what was sent down to them, humbling themselves before God. They do not sell God's revelations for a cheap price. These will have their reward with their Lord. God is swift in reckoning.
O you who believe, be patient, outdo others in patience, stand firm, and be mindful of God so that you may succeed.
