By the Mount.
By a Book inscribed.
On parchment unrolled.
By the frequented House.
By the raised canopy.
By the sea set ablaze.
Your Lord's punishment is coming.
Nothing can ward it off.
On the Day the sky will sway violently.
The mountains will drift away.
Woe on that Day to the deniers.
Those who amuse themselves with idle talk.
The Day they are shoved forcefully into the Fire of Hell.
This is the Fire you used to deny.
Is this magic, or do you not see?
Burn in it. Be patient or impatient, it is the same for you. You are only being repaid for what you used to do.
Those who were mindful of God will be in gardens and bliss.
Rejoicing in what their Lord has given them, and their Lord has shielded them from the punishment of the Blaze.
Eat and drink with pleasure for what you used to do.
Reclining on couches arranged in rows, and We will pair them with companions of beautiful eyes.
Those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith, We will reunite them with their descendants, and We will not diminish anything from their deeds. Every person is held accountable for what they earned.
We will provide them with fruit and meat, whatever they desire.
They will pass around a cup containing no idle talk and no sin.
Circulating among them will be young servants of their own, like hidden pearls.
They will turn to one another, asking questions.
They will say, "We used to live among our families in fear."
"But God was gracious to us and shielded us from the scorching punishment."
"We used to call upon Him before. He is the Most Kind, the Most Merciful."
So remind. By your Lord's grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.
Or do they say, "A poet, we await for him some twist of fate"?
Say, "Wait then. I too am waiting with you."
Do their minds command them to say this, or are they a transgressing people?
Or do they say, "He made it up"? No, they simply do not believe.
Then let them produce a discourse like it, if they are truthful.
Were they created from nothing, or are they the creators?
Did they create the heavens and the earth? No, they have no certainty.
Do they possess the treasuries of your Lord, or are they in control?
Do they have a ladder by which they listen? Then let their listener bring clear proof.
Does He have daughters while you have sons?
Are you asking them for payment, so they are burdened with debt?
Do they have knowledge of the unseen, so they write it down?
Or do they intend a plot? It is the disbelievers who are the ones being plotted against.
Do they have a god other than God? Glory be to God, far above what they associate with Him.
If they saw a fragment falling from the sky, they would say, "Piled-up clouds."
So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck down.
The Day when their scheming will not help them at all, and they will not be aided.
For those who do wrong, there is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.
Be patient for your Lord's judgment, for you are under Our watchful eyes. Glorify your Lord with praise when you rise.
Glorify Him in the night and at the fading of the stars.
