Qaf. By the glorious Quran.
They are astonished that a warner has come to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers say, "This is something strange!"
"When we are dead and turned to dust? That is a far-fetched return!"
We know what the earth consumes of them, and with Us is a record that preserves all.
They denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused state.
Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We built it and adorned it, and it has no rifts?
The earth We spread out, cast upon it firm mountains, and caused every delightful pair of plants to grow in it.
An insight and reminder for every servant who turns back to God.
We sent down blessed water from the sky, and with it We grew gardens and grain for harvest.
And towering palm trees with clusters of dates piled high.
Provision for the servants. With it We revived a dead land. Such is the emergence.
Before them, the people of Noah denied, and the companions of the Well, and Thamud.
And Aad, and Pharaoh, and the brothers of Lot.
And the companions of the Thicket, and the people of Tubba. Each of them denied the messengers, so My threat was fulfilled.
Were We exhausted by the first creation? No, they are in confusion about a new creation.
We created the human being, and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than his jugular vein.
When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.
He does not utter a word except that there is a watcher beside him, ready.
The stupor of death comes with the truth: this is what you were trying to escape.
The Horn is blown. That is the Day of the Threat.
Every soul arrives with a driver and a witness.
You were heedless of this, but We have stripped away your veil, so your sight today is razor-sharp.
His companion says, "This is what I have ready."
"Throw into Hell every stubborn denier."
"Every withholder of good, every aggressor, every doubter."
"The one who set up another god beside God, throw him into the severe punishment."
His companion says, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress. He was already in deep error."
He says, "Do not argue before Me. I already sent you the warning."
"My word does not change, and I am not unjust to My servants."
On the Day We say to Hell, "Are you full?" and it says, "Is there more?"
Paradise is brought near to the mindful, not far off.
"This is what you were promised, for everyone who turned back to God and kept guard."
"Whoever feared the Most Merciful in the unseen and came with a heart turned in devotion."
"Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."
They will have whatever they wish there, and with Us is more.
How many generations before them did We destroy, mightier than them in power? They searched through the lands: was there any escape?
In this is a reminder for whoever has a heart or lends an ear while fully present.
We created the heavens and the earth and everything between them in six days, and no weariness touched Us.
So be patient with what they say, and glorify your Lord with praise before the rising of the sun and before its setting.
Glorify Him during the night and after prostration.
Listen for the Day when the caller calls from a nearby place.
The Day they hear the blast in truth. That is the Day of Emergence.
We give life and We cause death, and to Us is the final return.
The Day the earth splits open around them as they rush forth. That is a gathering easy for Us.
We know best what they say. You are not a tyrant over them. So remind with the Quran whoever fears My warning.
