By the night as it covers.
By the day as it reveals.
By the One who created male and female.
Your efforts are truly diverse.
As for the one who gives and is mindful of God.
And believes in the ultimate good.
We will ease his way to ease.
But as for the one who withholds and considers himself self-sufficient.
And denies the ultimate good.
We will ease his way to hardship.
His wealth will not help him when he plunges.
Guidance is upon Us.
To Us belongs the Hereafter and the present life.
So I have warned you of a Fire that blazes.
None will burn in it except the most wretched.
The one who denied and turned away.
But the most reverent will be kept far from it.
The one who gives his wealth to purify himself.
Not to repay anyone for a favor owed.
But only seeking the Face of his Lord, the Most High.
And he will surely be satisfied.
