By the night as it conceals,
and the day when it reveals,
and He who created the male and the female,
your striving is indeed diverse.
As for he who gives and is mindful of God,
and believes in goodness,
We will smooth his way toward all that is easy.
But as for he who is stingy and considers himself self-sufficient,
and denies goodness,
We will ease him toward hardship.
His wealth will not help him the least when he falls.
Indeed, it is upon Us to guide you.
And indeed, to Us belong the last life and this first life
So, I have warned you of a Blazing Fire.
None will burn in it except the most wicked
who had rejected and turned away.
But the one who was most mindful of God will be spared,
who gives his wealth away to purify himself,
not as payment for received favors,
but only seeking the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High.
He will be well pleased.
