Woe to those who give short measure.
Those who when they take measure from mankind, they take in full,
And when they measure for them or weigh for them, they cause loss.
Do those not think that they will be raised
To a great day?
A day mankind will stand for the Lord of the worlds.
Not so, indeed, the book of the wicked is surely in sijjin.
And what will make you know what sijjin is?
A written book.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
Those who call the Day of Judgment a lie.
And none call it a lie except every sinful transgressor,
When Our signs are recited to him, he says, 'The legends of the former people.'
Not so, nay, what they used to earn has seized their hearts.
Not so, indeed, they surely are veiled from their Lord on that day.
Then indeed, they surely will burn in the hellfire.
Then it will be said, 'This is that which you used to call a lie.'
Not so, indeed, the book of the righteous is surely in illiyun.
And what will make you know what illiyun is?
A written book.
Those who are brought near witness it.
Indeed the righteous are surely in pleasure,
On raised couches, they will look.
You will recognise in their faces the brightness of pleasure.
They will be given to drink of sealed pure wine.
Its seal is musk. And for that then let the aspirers aspire.
And its mixture is of Tasnim,
A spring. Those who are brought near will drink from it.
Indeed, those who sinned used to laugh at those who believed.
And when they pass by them they make signs to one another with their eyes.
And when they turn over to their people, they turn over jesting.
And when they see them they say, 'Indeed, these surely err.'
And they were not sent as guardians over them.
So today those who believed will laugh at the disbelievers,
On raised couches, they will look.
Are the disbelievers rewarded for what they used to do?
