Surah “Mutual Disillusion, Haggling, The Cheating”

as rendered by Talal Itani & AI (2025) — 18 verses

Everything in the heavens and everything on earth glorifies God. To Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things.
He is the One who created you, yet some of you disbelieve and some of you believe. God sees everything you do.
He created the heavens and the earth in truth, and He shaped you and perfected your forms. To Him is the final return.
He knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. God knows what lies within hearts.
Has the news not reached you of those who disbelieved before? They tasted the consequences of their choices, and a painful punishment awaits them.
That was because their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they said, "Are mere humans going to guide us?" So they disbelieved and turned away. God had no need of them. God is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.
Those who disbelieve claim they will never be resurrected. Say, "Yes, by my Lord, you will certainly be resurrected, then you will certainly be informed of what you did. That is easy for God."
So believe in God and His Messenger and the Light that We have sent down. God is fully aware of everything you do.
The Day He gathers you for the Day of Gathering, that is the Day of Mutual Loss. Whoever believes in God and does good, He will erase their sins and admit them into gardens with rivers flowing beneath, dwelling there forever. That is the supreme triumph.
Those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, they are the inhabitants of the Fire, dwelling there forever. What a miserable destination.
No calamity strikes except by God's permission. Whoever believes in God, He guides their heart. God knows all things.
Obey God and obey the Messenger. But if you turn away, then Our Messenger's only duty is clear delivery of the message.
God, there is no god but Him. Let the believers put their trust in God.
O you who believe, some of your spouses and children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon, overlook, and forgive, then God is Forgiving, Merciful.
Your wealth and your children are only a trial. With God lies a tremendous reward.
So be mindful of God as much as you can, listen, obey, and spend for your own good. Whoever is protected from the greed of their own soul, those are the successful ones.
If you lend God a good loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. God is Appreciative, Forbearing.
Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Almighty, the Wise.
