These
til'ka
(are) the Messengers
l-rusulu
We (have) preferred
faḍḍalnā
some of them
baʿḍahum
over
ʿalā
others
baʿḍin
Among them
min'hum
(were those with) whom
man
spoke
kallama
Allah
l-lahu
and He raised
warafaʿa
some of them
baʿḍahum
(in) degrees
darajātin
And We gave
waātaynā
Isa
ʿīsā
son
ib'na
(of) Maryam
maryama
the clear proofs
l-bayināti
and We supported him
wa-ayyadnāhu
with Spirit
birūḥi
[the] Holy
l-qudusi
And if
walaw
(had) willed
shāa
Allah
l-lahu
not
(would have) fought each other
iq'tatala
those who
alladhīna
(came) from
min
after them
baʿdihim
from
min
after
baʿdi
[what]
came to them
jāathumu
the clear proofs
l-bayinātu
[And] but
walākini
they differed
ikh'talafū
[so] of them
famin'hum
(are some) who
man
believed
āmana
and of them
wamin'hum
(are some) who
man
denied
kafara
And if
walaw
(had) willed
shāa
Allah
l-lahu
not
they (would have) fought each other
iq'tatalū
[and] but
walākinna
Allah
l-laha
does
yafʿalu
what
He intends
yurīdu
