Read in the name of your Lord who created.
Created the human being from a clinging clot.
Read, and your Lord is the Most Generous.
He who taught by the pen.
Taught the human being what he did not know.
No, the human being truly transgresses.
When he sees himself self-sufficient.
To your Lord is the return.
Have you seen the one who forbids.
A servant when he prays?
Have you considered if he is upon guidance.
Or commands righteousness?
Have you considered if he denies and turns away?
Does he not know that God sees?
No! If he does not stop, We will drag him by the forelock.
A lying, sinful forelock.
Let him call his council.
We will call the guards of Hell.
No! Do not obey him. Prostrate and draw near.
