By the morning light
By the night when it covers,
Your Lord has not forsaken you, [O Muhammad], nor does He hate.
And surely the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
And soon surely your Lord will give you [so much], and you will be pleased.
Did He not find you an orphan and He sheltered [you]?
And He found you wandering and He guided [you],
And He found you poor and enriched [you].
So as for the orphan, so do not oppress.
And as for the beggar, do not drive him away.
But as for the favour of your Lord, so narrate.
