Surah “The Mansions of the Stars, The Constellations”

as rendered by Safi Kaskas — 22 verses

By the heavens full of great constellations,
by the promised Day,
and by the witness and the witnessed,
how terrible were the people of the trench
[using] fire supplied with fuel,
while they sat around it,
to watch what they were doing to the believers.
The only reason they punish them was because they believed in God, The Mighty/Dear, The Praiseworthy,
to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the Earth. God, is Witness over all things.
Those who persecute believing men and women, and have not repented afterwards, will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of Burning.
Indeed, those who believe and do good deeds will have Gardens with rivers flowing through them. That is the great victory.
Your Lord’s punishment is truly severe.
It is He who begins [Creation] and repeats it.
He alone is Truly-Forgiving, The All-Embracing in His love.
The Glorious Lord of the Throne,
Doer of whatever He wills.
Has the story of the legions reached you,
[those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?
Yet those who denied the truth are persistent in denial,
while God will encircle them from behind.
This is indeed a Glorious Qur’an
in a Preserved Tablet.
