[And when he saw that the guests would not eat,] he became apprehensive of them; [but] they said, “Fear not” - and gave him the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who would be endowed with deep knowledge

Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy

(When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge

fa-awjasa min'hum khīfatan qālū lā takhaf wabasharūhu bighulāmin ʿalīmi

Then he felt from them a fear. They said, "(Do) not fear," and they gave him glad tidings of a son learned.

He then began to feel apprehensive. They said, "Do not fear," and gave him good news of a boy who would be gifted with knowledge.

Then, he sensed a fear of them; they said: Be not in awe. They gave him good tidings of a knowing boy.

He felt a fear concerning them. They said: "Don´t be afraid," and gave him the news of a clever lad.

So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge

(When they did not eat), he became afraid of them. They said: “Don’t fear.” They gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son.

Then [for their reluctance to partake] he sensed a fear from them. They said, "Fear not," and gave him the tiding of an erudite son.

Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, “Fear not!” and gave him glad tidings of a knowing son

He felt fear of them. They said, "Do not be afraid," and gave him good news of a knowledgeable son.

And he harbored fear of them. They said, 'Do not fear,' and they announced to him the good news of a knowledgeable boy

(When they did not eat), he became afraid of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy

He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son

So he felt some fear in his heart. They said, .Be not scared. And they gave him the good news of (the birth of) a knowledgeable boy

Then he felt apprehensive of them. They said, "Fear not!" And gave him the glad news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. (Abraham was concerned, since people with aggressive designs used to refuse hospitality. But they were hurrying to Sodom (11:69-76), (15:50-55), (26:69), (29:31))

Then he entertained a fright of them. They said, "Do not fear (anything)." And they gave him good tidings of a knowledgeable youth

(When they did not eat) he conceived in his mind a fear of them. They said, "Fear not." And they gave him the good news of a son endowed with knowledge

So he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge

So he felt inner horror/fear from them, they said: "Do not fear." And they announced good news to him with a knowledgeable boy (son)

And he conceived a fear of them. They said, `Fear not.' And they gave him glad tidings of the birth of a son who would be blessed with knowledge

He then became fearful of them. They said, "Do not fear," and they gave him good news of a knowledgeable son.

(When they did not eat) he felt afraid of them. They said, `Have no fear.' And they proclaimed to him the good news of (the birth of) a son who would be blessed with knowledg

Then he felt somewhat concerned about them (when they did not eat). They (the angels) said: ‘Do not worry,’ then they gave him the news about a son possessing knowledge and wisdom (Ishaq [Isaac])

Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism)

He grew afraid of them, but they said, ‘Have no fear,‘ and told him he was to have a son endowed with knowledge

And he began to entertain a fear of them. They said, fear not: And they declared unto him the promise of a wise youth

So (Fa) he harboured (Aw'jasa) fear (Khiifatan) from them (Min'hum’); they said (Qaalu'), "Do not (Laa) fear (Takhaf')," and (Wa) gave him good news (Bassharuu-hu) of (Bi) an erudite (Äliim) boy (37:112) (Gulaamin).

Then he sensed a fear from them. They said, “Fear not” and they gave him the glad tidings of a learned boy.

He felt afraid of them. They said: “Do not be afraid", and then gave him the glad tidings of a son endowed with Spiritual Insight for Knowing (Allâh).

back he recoiled apprehensive and pervaded with fear, but they consoled him and in good will they said: "Do not be afraid " and they authoritatively made to him the intimation of the coming of a well informed and wise son who would have a sound judgment and the ability to perceive and adopt the best means for accomplishing an end

Then he felt a fear of them. They said, 'Do not fear.' And they gave him glad tidings of a knowing boy.
