Qaf. By the glorious Quran,
However, they are astonished that a warner from amongst them had come to them. So, the disbelievers said, “This is an astonishing thing.
What! When we are dead, and we have become dust! That is a farfetched comeback!
WE have known in advance what the earth diminishes from them and with US is a preserved record.
But Nay! They called lies to the Truth when it came to them— they have since been in a confused state.
[In evidence of the timeless Truth]: Have they not observed the sky above them? How WE have built it and adorned it, and there are no discontinuities to it?
And the earth, WE have spread it out and WE have strewn anchored mountains in it, and WE have proliferated in it of every splendored kind—
offering insight and a reminder for every devotee who constantly turns to God.
And WE have sent down blessed water from the sky whereby WE have proliferated gardens, and the harvest’s grain
and the date palms, towering high, with serried fruit-blossoms to them—
sustenance for the servants. And through it WE have given life to a dead land. Likewise, is the emergence [from death].
Before them, the people of Noah had called lies to the Truth, and [so did] the residents of Al Rass and Thamūd,
And ʿĀd, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,
and the dwellers of the thicket, and the people of Tubba. Each of them had denied the messengers. So, MY forewarning became real.
So then, did WE tire with the first creation? Yet they are incredulous of a new creation.
WE have created man, and WE know what his soul whispers to him. WE are closer to him than his jugular vein.
When the two attendees embed, seated in place on the right and on the left,
not any word does he form, except integral to him is a ready observer on watch.
And [when] comes the stupor of death, bearing Reality— that which you were steering away from.
And [the souls] are blown into the forms. That is the day of the fully conveyed warning.
And came each soul— along with it, a driver, and a witness.
[It was said], “You were heretofore remiss from all of this— so WE have now lifted your veil from you. So, your sight today is blade sharp.”
And his attendant [who kept his record] said, “This is what I have with me, ready at hand.”
[It was said], “You two, cast into Jahannam, every stubborn ingrate,
[Every] blocker of the good, [every] transgressor, [every] truth-doubter.
The one who set up another god alongside Allah— such a one, cast him into the most intense punishment.”
Said a close companion of his [one that he chose], “Our Rabb, I did not cause him to transgress, but he was in far error.”
HE said, “Do not pass blame in MY presence. I had sent ahead unto you all, the fully conveyed forewarning.
The pronouncement directly from ME is not to change, and I am in no way an oppressive sovereign to MY subjects
It will be a day when WE ask Jahannam, “Are you filled?” And it asks, “Are there some more?”
And the Garden was brought near the God-conscious— not at all distant.
“This is what you were promised to each who turned often to God, stayed vigilant—
one who lived in awe of Al Raḥmān, in all that is hidden from him yet fully manifest to HIM, and has come with a devoted heart.
‘Enter in peace [Salaam].’” That is the day of eternal being.
For them in it is whatever they will for, and with US in the divine realm is even more.
How many a generation before them have WE destroyed— more intense than them in prowess. So [instead of heeding the warning], they had scouted the lands [for a stronghold]. Is there any escape?
Verily, in that is definitely a reminder for one who has a heart, or one who lends an ear and is a keen observer.
WE did create the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, in six [heavenly] days, and not any weariness touched US.
So, persevere over what they say, and extol the limitless glory of God with praise of your Rabb, before the rise of the sun and before the setting,
and during [parts of] the night, extol HIS almightiness and in the wake of the [regular] prostrations
And be attentive. On a day the caller is to call from a near place.
One day they will hear the final call, in reality. That is the day of the final emergence.
Surely, it is WE— WE give life, and WE give death and unto US is the end [of all journeys].
[This] day, the earth will swiftly split open at them. That resurrected assembly is easy for US.
WE best know about what they say, and you are not one to anywise force your will upon them. So just remind with the Quran, whoever is to fear MY forewarning.
